  • Sons of the American Legion Post 56 Adjutant Richard Kontny Jr. has requested the following post of their fundraiser flyer and an associated letter from Todd Baker, a USMC Combat Veteran, husband and father, explaining his story and the need of support for his family after his imminent passing due to advanced reoccurring stage 4 cancer. Please read both and contribute if you can. The fundraiser is 09 November 2025.

The SSgt Robert C. Melberg, USA, American Legion Post 110 of Virginia Beach, VA held its 2025-2026 Oratorical Contest on October 22, 2025.  The winner was Nathan Campos, senior at Landstown High School, for his oration on the U.S. Constitution.  He was presented a $100 check by Post Adjutant Fred Kinkin. The SSGT Robert C. Melberg American Legion Post 110, Virginia Beach VA Auxiliary (AUX), held its Annual Tea Fundraiser on 04 October 2025.  The event was made even more special by the support of the Post 110 American Legion Riders (ALR). The American Legion Riders Chapter (ALR) of the SSGT Robert C. Melberg American Legion Post 110, in Virginia Beach VA participated in the annual Naval Air Show held at Oceana Naval Air Station in Virginia Beach, VA. which took place Friday through Sunday (19-21 September, 2025) and the following photos show just a snapshot of ALR activities while manning an information booth and attending the show. The SSgt Robert C. Melberg, USA, American Legion Post 110 of Virginia Beach, VA presented awards to two very deserving NJROTC Cadets at Cox High School on May 22, 2025.  Making the presentations were Tim Richardt, president of the Americian Legion Riders Chapter 110 and Legionnaire Joe Mahachek.  Receiving the awards were Cadet Ensign Ayden Schweitzer, 'Military Bearing Award' and Cadet Petty Officer Second Class Alexander Renault, 'Scholarship Award'.
